Joy Division Flac

  1. Joy Division Flac Game
For @Dama

The Japanese boxset is a lesser known item in the Joy Division catalog. It was released in 1990 as five discs containing Unknown Pleasures, Closer, Still, Substance, and the October 1980 US Atmosphere single respectively. The set is popular in the audiophile community because it sourced its material from the ORIGINAL master tapes. Just about every other CD source, including the 'Heart and Soul' boxset from 1997 and the 2007 remastered albums, utilized 2nd-gen sources, poor remasters, or unethical audio compressing. The Japanese boxset is uncompressed, unremastered, and the closest you will get to good vinyl quality.
The set is extremely rare and expensive.

Joy Division was formed in 1976 by guitarist Bernard Sumner and bassist Peter Hook, later recruiting singer Ian Curtis and drummer Stephen Morris. The band released its debut album, Unknown Pleasures, in 1979 on independent label Factory. On 18 May 1980, the eve of the band's first American tour, Curtis was found dead in his home. Unable to continue as Joy Division, the remaining members disbanded the group. The band's second album, Closer, was released two months later to critical acclaim. Since then, several posthumous releases have been issued from the band.

Joy
  1. It’s been forty years since the singer from Joy Division took his own life, but the shadow of his death still hangs over post-punk, new wave and rock history. In just two albums, the cult band from Manchester turned grey skies, depression and urban industrialisation into beautiful music thanks to their charismatic leader, who is just as.
  2. Just my Tribute to one of the darkest sounding bands who did very much for further generations of Metal and Punk formations. I´m a bit of a Hi-Fi freak so i.

Total download size: 1.50GB Total play length: 1:08:27. Cover art included, liner notes not included. After New Order released their own Substance compilation in 1987, it was perhaps inevitable that a similar and long-overdue collection would apply to Joy Division, especially given the out-of-print status of many of the band's singles.
